2) Subject: MUSIC=MEMORY - A SENSE OF SOUND

Hi Friends,

This is Fred Jardin. Here's one of the many crazy projects I'm involved
with. You may be interested in this one too. I'm am a member of a small
group of SF Bay Area Writers who have begun a project which we are calling
Music=Memory - The Sense of Sound.

The idea is to capture short stories of specific moments which are
triggered upon the hearing of a particular song from the past.

Music=Memory - The Sense of Sound will be an Anthology of Short Essays (500
words or less) which are inspired by songs. I have found that by thinking of
a song from the past, a floodgate a memory and emotion comes to the
forefront and these essays tend to write themselves.

Please let us know if this interests you. The deadline for submission is
March 15th, 2008

As for money, it may not make you wealthy, but perhaps it will open the
door to new possibilities. We'll take 20% of any payment received from
contracts and royalties for putting the project and deal together and the
remaining 80% shall be
split evenly amongst contributing writers. It does seem to have potential as
a holiday giftfor people who love music and short stories.

Please send submissions to FJardin@aol.com
